I parked above the canyon to let the whole S-curve unspool, and right as the light went soft and blue somebody came idling around the bend in a lone boat. That wake was the only thing moving in the entire canyon. I stood up there a good while after it passed, waiting on the water to go still again, glad I'd driven myself to this point before the color left.
