PLATE 35No RushChapter III · Rivers & Canyons
I got out of my truck up above the bend to get the whole curve of the river in one frame, and the balsamroot growing along the rim had its own opinion about where your eye should land first. This green only holds for a few weeks before the hills go gold for the summer. Snow still hanging from the far peaks promise water to the Treasure Valley for the coming growing season. I waited out the clouds for some added character, then stepped back and let the scene speak for itself.
