Miami in the spring: a break from the academic struggle for many. For others just an opportunity to be done, if only for a little while, with the long, cold, northern winter. Bright lifeguard towers dot the shore like ice cream stands, and the condos and hotels tower above the trees and sand like sentinels watching over their subjects. On this day the wind turns the Atlantic into ribbons of white stretching as far as the eye and camera can see. Activity everywhere you look. My kind of picture for a setting like this.
