I was out fishing as a late afternoon sun turned the river into a million scattered sparks. This fellow had a fish on, his rod bent near double, a barely discernable smile of excitement on his face. A bird happened to cross the sky at the exact right second. I don't take much credit for the timing; I just try to be in the right place, cold-footed and ready, when it happens.
