I scrambled up onto the lichen rocks to get my head above the sagebrush, and the whole reservoir was holding still enough to keep a clean copy of the clouds. The snow hadn't quite let go of the far peaks, so the water was cold and the wind hadn't found me yet. I waited for one big cloud to settle over its own reflection, then quit fussing and let the place do the rest.
