PLATE 67Called to OrderChapter IV · The Wetlands
A low afternoon sun lit their bills and put the highlights on their plumage. The shore behind is melting into its own kind of fall color. Too many casts that produce nothing, feet going numb standing in water cold enough to soon ice over - time to shuffle to areas more interesting. In this day and age of text messaging, Zoom and email, it's good to find some who continue to meet and discuss things in "person". Feeling like an uninvited guest at their conference, I grabbed a couple of shots and moved along as best I could.
